This Pretty Poncho was made for a little lady whose mommy just had a baby. We've never meet; she's the 'princess' of an acquaintance of ours. I made a baby-ghan for the new addition but wanted to make this little one and her brother feel special too. I found the poncho pattern at
LionBrand.com It is a free pattern, but if you haven't already; you'll have to register to view the pattern.
The pattern is known as the 'Coming Home' Poncho. I followed the pattern for a child's 5-6 size exactly. There were no problems with it; it's gorgeous. I've used this pattern before and will do so again.
I didn't use a Lion's Brand yarn though. Caron has a one pound yarn that is somewhat soft to work with. When it's washed it is even softer. Of course, it's 16oz; which consists of 812 yards. I used the Lilac #577. This yarn is so much softer than Red Heart Super Saver. I will be using it again, I just wish they had more colors to choose from.
The doll info can be found in the Toys section.
